I have been making photographs for forty years. I found my avocation, picture framing as a result of my obsession with photography. I love working at both. My photographs sketch a long evolution. I started taking photographs of my friends and then the things around me, evolving into medium format and large format. Five years ago I saw digital and prepared to accept it because the prints I saw were stunning. In 2006 I bought a drum scanner, an Epson 7800 and Mac G5 and started trying to learn how to steer this powerful rig. I am still shooting film because I know film, but I am printing with Cone Archival Pigment Inks on an inkjet printer producing what is known in the gallery world as a 'giclee'. For the first time in my life I can do edition of an image. In the darkroom my photos were highly manipulated and I could never make 2 alike, with inkjet once I perfect a file I can get pretty similar results. I produce most images in sizes ranging from intimate to grand. The prices include framing with archival materials and museum glass. The frames I use are of my own design and I stain and wax them myself.
You can always try a photo out. Everything I sell is returnable. It is difficult to see print quality online. Most of my images are viewable at my place of business but call ahead. I also shoot portraits with my antique cameras and print silver or inkjet portraits that look like 1925 my favorite year for portraiture. Call for particulars.
